The Swanbridge Hospital is equipped with a modern hydrotherapy suite, complete with a large heated pool for loose swimming and an underwater treadmill.

Hydrotherapy has huge clinical benefits in cases of arthritis, musculoskeletal disease and for speeding post-orthopaedic surgery recovery. The unit is maintained by our dedicated, qualified hydrotherapists. A hydrotherapist always accompanies the dog in the water, to provide support, and the exercise regime is tailored to each individual dog's needs. Ramps and hoists are available to assist the more infirm patients. Our hydrotherapists are also qualified veterinary nurses, and so have an excellent understanding of our patients' conditions.

Every patient requires a referral from a veterinary surgeon; referral forms are available on request from the hospital reception. They can be posted directly to a referring vet.
